today i got round to refurbing my dirty looking angel lights so thought i would pop some pics up and a little guide
1) remove from your car
2) pre heat your oven at 150 degrees
3) when oven at the tep then place 1 light at a time inside the oven and leave in there for no longer than 5 mins
4) remove from the oven and prise the front off the light use a knife or blade to separate the glue from the light ,
5) if its like mine undo the screws on the back of the lens once the light apart this will give you 3 peices
6) clean the lense and all the bulbs anywhere you can see dirt clean it , dont forget anything chrome can be cleaned up with glass cleaner , i wet it then use kitchen towel to remove streaks
7) mask up the areas you dont want the paint
8) sand down all the chrome with rough paper and finish on a fine wet dry paper
9) use a hairdryer to blow all the shit off
10) use purple meths to clean all the treated areas down
11) choose the colour of the paint and start spraying
when spraying dont go mad with it for your first coat you should just tickle the light so you can still see the under layer through the colour , use the hairdryer if you wish just to get that layer dryed but dont get to close with it otherwise you will cause bubbles , i tend to just waft it about like its hair lol ,
anyways im just waiting for mine to dry little bit longer in the natural air then ill be putting it all back together
to put back together it the reverse of the take apart but im going to use clear silcone where the glue was holding it all together and anywhere that mite let air in or more dirt ,
have a go if you want i was just getting bored of the dirtiness and didnt want to buy new ones when i could custom them
