285 cams on standard timing???

   ive got to start my saxo up tomorrow for the first time. all we need to do is put cambelt on and set the timing. im a bit worried that if i set my timing to std im going to have valve to piston contact. ive got 285s any suggestions

   you'll more than likely have less chance of them hitting, as you'll more than likely need to put more lift on to set the timing correctly.
   turn it over using a ratchet on the crank pulley 1st though, that will let you know the engine will spin over ok without any contact.
