quickshift

   any one know whever its worth getting a quickshift thing for my 1.1 and where i can get a good one thanks.

   On a 1.1, hmmm, you may as well save your money. Granted you will change gear quicker, but for what purpose? Maybe to down shift quickly when you get to a hill?!

   Probably not worth it, but if your going to do everyhthing else you have asked about then yes i think it would be worth it.

   im selling a brand new GE quickshift as i ordered 2
   i got one on my 106 gti and its very good much quicker

   Not worth it. You've just gotta do the painful waiting bit until your insurance goes down or you buy a faster car.

   what i dont understand is how you can say that lol i dont want a vts i want a 1.1 but faster than usual a wolf in sheeps clothing im 19 im sure i could get a faster car my mates got fiat punto sporting 1.9tdi pretty quick 16grands worth much rather spend £4000 on my 1.1 and have loads of fun than get a vts and i wanna keep this car for about 2-3 years its got 45,000 miles on it which id say is low.

   Ive got a sports clutch and a quickshift gear linkage on my vtr and its so much better when your raggin a bit. but dont really think it would be worth it on a 1.1.

    i have a griffiths quickshift on my car and i don't race/ rag it etc etc
    
    i would get one, they make a huge difference and the throws are mega short.

    I have heard there is a required amount of 'butchering' to be done in order to make them fit. Not entirely sure about it though. I wouldnt mind getting one either if there easy enough to fit though. I think Stu-N-Shell had one on his 1.1. Might be worth asking him.
