Cams..Is it worth it?

  1. #1
I have a vtr mark 2 however it is single plug ecu and90bhp engine..

really considering buying piper cams, vernier pulley and belt (all piper)

    off of syvtr from here...

they are £270 quid which is it worth it...

but how much to get them fitted and have a remap? approx?

and what sort of results would i get from this?

    would it be much difference...

only other mods would be.. air filter, 4-2-1 and decat and stainless exhaust to back...

    is it worth the cost?

And would it be worth doing any headwork i.e gas flowing? And how much would this be?

    Any answers greatly appreciated.,...

Of course its not worth it, but most mods arnt. It depends on your addiction to speed. If you can afford it, and can live with not being very impressed with the results then its worth it.

LOL at the person bumping a thread 20mins old.

Uprated camshaft on the vtr is all about how far you want to go, long term plans and your finanicial situation.

personally tuning the 8v is a bit like polishing a turd, its still a turd. Which is why id go 16v everytime if i was going for long term serious engine tuning.
