16" back 15" front?

What would be the biggest downfall to having 16" rims on the back and 15s on the front?
My front wheels rub.. And they're fifteens at the moment.
Still... The back looks way too high.

so.. What do you guys say to slappin' on a set of black Lenso RS5s. 15" on the front and 16" on the back?
I personally think it'd look pretty damn good.

    Still... Oppinions please?

Your front wheels rub and its not lowered?
  3. #3
why not stick 15"s on all round and lower it more
  4. #4
i dunno like... it might look a bit dodgy and it might send the handling out the window.. you could try it i suppose but personally i wouldnt
  5. #5
how can 15's rub wen vts wheels r 15's and the arches are all the same
  6. #6
I dunno.. But when it's on full lock.. it rubs!
  7. #7
Oh... and it's down 30Mm already.

Oh.. And um.. Profile and such.. No idea. I'll check it out when it's light.
All I know is that the rims are 15s.

    doesnt even look lowered lol

i wouldnt put bigger wheels, it will look like a dragster

lowering more all round (not as much on the front) will do the trick. also check the clips arent broke for your inner arches, the shit guards. this happened to me and they came loose and started rubbing

    its not lowerd? looks standard
  15. #15
i'd get sick of people asking all the time "are the back wheels bigger than the fronts?"

    it would get noticed aswell
  16. #16
    lower another 20 to 30mm
  17. #17
I'm not sure.. My uncle's a mechanic and he reckons that lowerin' it's not that good an idea.
I know it's a popular mod and I know it looks damn cool but... I mean..
I can't afford a lowerin' kit and cuttin' the suspension fucks it up does it not?

getting a larger rim on the back will make it look even higher mate!

'needs lowering' - ha can actually say it without it being a piss take!

lowering the back is torsion bar so labour only

I'm not sure... I've just got him to service it and help me fit my speakers an' such.

I can't really ask him to do much more.

So.... How much do you think it'd be to get it lowered all round at a garage?
And what's the lowest you can possibly go without it rubbing with a full load. (Like... Five people and a full boot. Lol.) ?

Thats fine hes a mechanic, surly you rather give him your money than some random garage!

Im down 45mm with 195/45 profile tyres and a boot build and ive never had any rubbing no matter how many in car!

Well... Actually.. With the town I live in being so small.. Everyone knows everything about everywhere (Locally). Lol.

So... No dodgy garages stay open for long and the good ones are recognised and known quite well.
So.... Do you think 50Mm is too low then? (I've got a boot build and will often have a full car.)
