changing wing mirrors

   i wanna change my wing mirrors but have no idea how to start, how do i take off the originals?
   step by step would be ideal

   gotta take the doorcards off to get acess
   you need to remove the 2 t20 screws (one below the mirror inside and one in the bottom of the grab handle
   then it pulls off
   then theres the interior cover that pulls off and has a screw holding the adjuster in
   then 3 t20s holdin the mirror to the door

   you dont have to take the door card off, but it is easier and gives you less problems with getting the screws out.
   
   First time you take the door card off you gotta be pretty brutish with it, you might break a few of the clips, but if your careful should come off fairly easily.

   so do i need to take door cards off or not? i was thinking i could just take the plastic cover off and there was a few screws

   you dont have too but its easier to get access to the screws.. its not very hard to take the door cards off any way 2 screws then it just pops off.

   seen some m3's i quite like thought i was gonna be a nice simple job to swap over, so if i didn't remove door cards what will i have to do?

   i fitted M3 mirrors ages ago and all i did was bend the door card carefully back to get access to the screws, takes about 20 mins longer. I would try getting the door card off, iv taken mine off so many times now that you get quick at it and is much easier to do things behind it.

   how are the card held on? some people say they are easily snapped and then putting them back on they are lose?

    the clips usualy break. couple of pence from shitroen. its just 2 screws then it pulls off.
