Have a Mk2 03 vts and getting a new refurbed axle fitted next week courtasy of piggy123 and was wondering what the standard ride height for a vts was so that i can lower it accordingly looking to go down 40 maybe 50 the last time it was lowered by splines but will be there to make sure done right this time.

I know what it is, trying to find a pic to display the 2 points where we use our measurements from. As some people will use different points to measure from

Not the best pic really, apologies its one with a drum beam but its just for reference.

From the vast amount of cars that ive lowered the general measurement between the 2 points displayed on the pic is 400mm. This measurement is taken just before removing the torsion bars so obviously dampers are already removed at point of measurement

Some people might take measurements from the very centre of the hub to the bottom point of the arch, but the tape measure that i use is the type with the hooked end so it holds in place nicely and cant move on the hub bit whilst taking the measurement at the bottom arch
