Important! : idle problems please help!

   when the engine is upto temperature the revs tak ages to come back down, when i blip the throttle the revs drop and start bouncing somtimes, its loosing power when it does this can anyone help, its a 2002 vtr thanks.

   I think its the throttle control valve needs cleaning. and its very easy to do.

   I'd clean the throttle body and ICV - they get really gunked up after a while, especially with the standard oil breather setup. If that doesn't work, try replacing the coolant temperature sensor.

   ive cleaned the throttle position sensor and still the same.ive tryed idle sensor and still the same. im stuck.

    ill try new coolant temp sensor see if this helps and is it easier to take the hole throttle body off to clean?

    yer i put brand new one in and still no difference.

    Remove the airbox and it's 3x T20 torx screws facing into the inlet manifold. Unclip the throttle cable and the throttle body should just pull out.
