The main problem with the quicker splines method is that its done by literally smacking off the trailing arms and forcing them up before banging them back on again.
This can cause substancial damage to bearings and also the rubber seals which in turn renders them useless against keeping the water and muck out of the trailing arm. Once the greased up surface inside is dried up the bearings can quickly fail and start chewing into the axles stub pins which is where the play/wobbling begins leading to MOT failure.
Of course this method is also largely inaccurate as you can never be sure that each side is going to be level and you are somewhat limited to what heights you can choose from
THE CORRECT SAFE METHOD involves complete removal of the torsion bars themselves leaving the trailing arm fully attached and of course bearings and seals undisturbed.
The trailing arms can then be adjusted to the appropriate height using a jack so that they are set at whatever level you desire. The torsion bars can then be reinserted.
For anyone that comes to us we have been more than happy to explain in more detail the workings of it and you can of course see the whole lot being done. We're more than confident that you'll be happy with the results and the work thats done
