hi all , seeing as im going to be bored all day today , id thought i give a go at trying to remove my valves from my old vts head . as at some stage these need to go into my new head.
any body no how to remove valves

you need a valve spring clamp/compressor

put the flat side on the base of the valve and clamp the top down on the spring, remove the collets on the top of the valve stem then slowly release the clamp which will allow the valve to slide out

just put your head down on a wooden bench, then put a socket on top of the valve, give it a whack with a hammer and it'll pop the retaining collets off and you can take the valves out. you need valve spring compressor to refit though.

you have a socket on top of the retainer so they dont fly out everywhere
