Saxo 1.1 engine

   i have seen a nice 1.1. saxo
   been modded and very nive car
   its got 6 months TAX and 3 Months M.O.T
   was wondering as he looking for 1400 for the car on a 1996 reg
   i was thinking if i bought the car and the engine been thrashed could i get
   a cheap 1.1 engine around as the body work is very good condition
   
   basically if i buy the car and the engine is on its way out could i get a cheap recon engine for it

   i bought a 1.1 saxo on a p reg that was mint completely standard, 4 years ago for £1050. imo he is way over charging you for what it is

   Bit overpriced in my opinion, but yeah you could get a cheap 1.1 engine mate, or even 1.4/1.6 they are all relativley cheap.

   if i uped the engine to a 1.4/1.6 qould that be cheap for a garage to do it for me

   if you have your heart set on it that much then i would offer him about £800 ish for the car and maybe get a vtr engine in it as they go for next to nothing tbh

   No worrys id buy a vtr tho because they are cheap now.
   you would probably spend more money on the car, engine and labour fitting it, than if u bought a tidy vtr, depending on your age mate insurance will be a twat.
   
   but its your choice mate, 1.1,1.4,1.6 engines r peanuts now tho so.

   a 1.1 engine would cost you about £50-£100 on here as would some vtr engines

    1.1 engines youl get one for under £40 i have one on 70k that i cant give away!

    I'm not looking for 1400 for my 03 plate 1.1 Think he's been on the old wackie backie asking that much.
