throttle bodies

hi everyone i got a vtr and have just been reading the "VS" post.
dont really know much about throttle boddies and was just wonderina few things if anyone can help
call me thick! but
1. what do they do and how much am i looking at to get these throttle bodies with all the relivant parts
2. what kind of gains do you get from them

right now i know what they does anybody know how cheap i would pick a kit up for brand new and also second hand?

best do a search on here and SSC for prices and places to get them done.

dont forget you wont see large gains withotu relevant cams and upped compression, then you need to look at better brakes, clutch etc...

i was quoted £2250 for the demon tweeks throttle body conversion for a VTS, wont be much different for a VTR! Thats gives u the full system and a start up map. To get the full out of the throttle bodys, ull need to get it re-mapped after! so its "2250 + re-mapping!

Ur looking at some big penny's there mate, like the good man says, brakes and others need to be uprated to take the extra power! By all means do it, its an ace comverion, but know the costs!
