engine cleaner

   does anyone have an idea as to what chemical substance is best to use to polish my engine because mine is rusty? ive seen a few cars on here and theirs is really shiny!

   What do you mean, by your 'engine'? The rocker cover? If so, then as yours is a VTR, it uses a different sort of metal to the VTS ones so cannot be polished. However you can spray it, and use laquer to make it 'shiny'. then just use some form of cleaner such as any of these; http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165713

   agreed, the vts cam covers are ally. the vtrs arnt. i would recommend sanding it right down and painting yours tbh mate

   yes the cam covers,when i open up my bonnet thats the part i want to see shiny. thats abit disapointing that i cnt clean it and that i can only spray it. i was looking forward to get rid of that awful rust.

   i actually meant to say that i wanted to polish it cos its easier than spray paintng it.thank u all for ur help
