Problems fitting Piper/Supersprint Exhaust!

  1. #1
Ive just fitted my supersprint centre section and piper backbox and am having a couple of problems the backbox seems to be hanging a bit low shown in the pic below any idea how to fix this and also it seems to be blowing at the join between the backbox and centre section, should I have a gasket of some sort as at the moment I have just used exhaust putty and the clamp any help would be appreciated!

i have the same supersprint and piper backbox

i just used the clamp that came with my backbox

its trial and error really keep playing around with it until u sort out the blowing

i got some powerflex exhaust things to raise mine up abit which helped and now sits fine

Bumping an old thread i know but its useful info as the piper backboxes do hang low.

Had a look at the Powerflex exhaust band range and trying to decide what ones to get. When you go through the Powerflex site it says to use EXH 005 for the saxo. Though on the list I've linked to EXH 002 and EXH 003 are much shorter....

Are the saxo (EXH 005) ones short enough compared to standard ones that they lift the backbox enough? Or do i need to get the shorter ones still (002 or 003)?
