  1. #1
Ok I have a Mk1 vtr with a battered front end to be fair ( bonnet flipped up etc) And Have Found a guy who is breaking a phase 2 vtr in the same colour as mine (Dark Burgundy Colour) Now I was Wondering If i bought the whole front end off him is it a simple bolt on to my exsisting chassis? Im thinking what about headlight connectors are they different etc? Anyone have any thoughts or knowledge on this please reply thanks guys!!

yeye the whole front end should go on no probs, and im 99% all connectors are the same!! rememember you need the slam panel changing as well, dno if this affects the radiator!

think the slam panel will be dif so get that to mate. sure if the conectors for the light are dif wouldnt take much to just wire them in

yeah done some research on here found a few others asking this but noone asked about like the light connectors so that was my main concern to be fair. Yeah i have had to change my original slam panel once already and the phase 2 is different which will be no problems to change. The Rad i will make a custom braket to hold if needs be. But thanks a lot for feedback guys really helps

you can check my thread for some details..

    You need to swap:
    Slam Panel
    Wings
    Bonnet
    Lights

The Lights wire up the same but you will need to get some Mark 2 headlight motors if you want to adjust them still.

Part of the chassis where the slam panel bolts on needs cutting away but this part is only spot welded so can be drilled off or just cut away.

Wings are just bolted in 5 places..(i think) 2 along the top one near the door, One on the chassis leg and one at the bottom near the sill.

Bonnet can be swapped straight over using the existing hinges and you can also use the same bonnet catch too

Hope this helps.. Pm me if you need any more help.
