oil breather pipe??

    my brothers been messing with my car today and hes broke my oil breather pipe ive been to 3 different places today to get one but none of the places had them.....


    just spoke to my brother to tell him what the pipe was called as i didnt know till earlier and he said something about me being able to put a little filter thing on it ? is this right?

    and if it is can someone linky me up to what it is i need?

    i seem to think having one of these on... if i can.. that it will slurt oil all over the place and i dont want this to happen?

    slap your brother for breaking it ive got a little filter hanging around somewhere

    Yes you can put a breather filter on them, Or plumb it into an oil catch tank.

    Something like those. Not sure what size you need on the saxo breather hose though.

    ok whats an oil catch tank?? linky please as ive no idea lol

    he was cleaning my engine and hes broke it in 2 parts... hes broke it where it actually connects to the air filter box and also the pipe itself has split?

    my engine is standard at the moment.... so would a oil filter thingymibob be ok ?

    A breather filter would be fine for you. An oil catch tank is literally just a tank for the oil vapour that does come out of the breather pipe to condense into. You can use coke cans that do exactly the same thing. The oil then gets stored and the tank needs emptying every now and again.

    They just look like a little filter on the end of the breather hose or if you cut it off, on top of the rocker cover. You'll also want to plug the hole that's left on the standard airbox

    right well the brether hose is completly nackered lol so its gonna have to sit on top of the rocker cover! just wanted to make sure this was ok!

    and i was also wondering what to do with the other hole on the airbox!!!

    sorry for bumping & hijacking old thread but anybody got a picture of 1 of these fitted to there rocker cover?

    mine has snapped (but left abit in the air filter box so its like a cap on it now. need to know where 1 of these little filters sit

    there go on your cam cover, normal the pipe on the top or side of them
