my car is icelantic grey, and was just wondering, if i go 2 tone, do you have to change the part on the v5 about colour change, and if so what do you put down

On my v5 it's just 'Silver' dude even though mine came out of the factory as a two tone.

You could tell them (and I probably would too just to cover your ass), as I did, but they'll just say 'Ok, it's Silver'

    Righty ho then!

But the V5 does not need updating it appears!

as long as the base colour stays the same mate you wont have to tell them, they only need to know if the body colour itself changes, trim doesent matter.

they probably wouldnt regognise two colour anyway, me mate had a cougar that was resprayed with flip paint, the colour was "gemini red" and they just put it down as orange.........which to be fair it was! there wasnt even any red in the flip!

on the v5 it just says blue
and if you got a citroen colour you dont need to tell insureance either as its a standard colour

its when you go to like ford rs blue you need to inform the insurers its not a citroen colour

the worst thing for this had to be my 205 in sorrento green
it was green (if you looked at the right angle in a certain light) but 90% of the time it looked black
got pulled and he said black
rac came to pick it up said black
all the guys at work said it was black

    but v5 said green

lol my old jounyman had a 205 back in the day he got it taken off him from the cops because it was red but the paint was realy faded and he had turned it from a van into a car the police tried to say he'd stole it changed the colour to pink and converted it to sell it on.lol
