Apologies if there have been other threads on this, I've had a good look and couldn't see anyone with the same problem.
On my 1.5 diesel Desire (03 plate) the EMS light KEEPS coming on and going off. I've taken it to a local garage and the Citroen garage and whilst they reset the light they weren't able to find out what was wrong with it. It can stay on for weeks then go off randomly for weeks at a time. Occasionally the engine also makes a funny rattly noise at a certain no. of revs, it does this more often when the EMS light is on, but also occasionally when its off.
I've assumed its just a loose sensor and am ignoring it- is this a wise thing to do? The car is its original condition. I know absolutly NOTHING about cars btw.
If anyone can give me some advice or point me in the direction of some I'd be very grateful, its pissing me off having this light come on constantly!
