heavy vibrations from powerflex mount!!!!

  1. #1
i recently replaced [last weekend]my bottom engine mount with a powerflex bush and i wasnt happy with the results yes the engine movement that was there before has gone completely but the deep vibrations it gives are unbelievable my whole dash/doors/steering wheel all shake and shudder does anybody know if they wear in after a while i hope they do or ill be buying a standard replacement rather soon.......... any info would would be very helpfull..
  2. #2
That's totally normal mate. I don't think it's as bad as you're making it out to be - the benefits outweigh the drawbacks imo!
  3. #3
Agreed, mine rattles loads, but its worth it.
  4. #4
mine rattles a bit. but the positives FARRR outweigh the negatives for the stiffer mount.
  5. #5
maybe i just need to get used to it i agree with you all the stiffer mount is a lot better......a smoother gear change i noticed straight away too which i was happy with and my engine is solid in place with hardly no movement.....
  6. #6
Mines the same, everything in my car now rattles.
  7. #7
get a group n upper gearbox mount it gets rid of the rattles which teh lower one causes.

Im getting one soon, I like the feel of things like that like my car being stripped, Gives the car of a raw feel too it which is good when your giving it some.
  9. #9
The lowe mount is probably just highlighting how used/worn your other two engine mounts are. Time to upgrade the others
  10. #10
U get used to of it after a week or so i had the full set changed to group a's and the vibrations were insane!
  11. #11
