door card removal

    just need a quick bit of advice.

    tried to remove my door card this weekend to fit some mirrors and i got so near but so far away...

    i popped all the clip things from round the edges of the doorcard but there was something around the door handle that stopped it coming off fully.

    my question is this: why is that? is there something that i need to unscrew round the handle or are there more clip things there too? either way, is there a method to taking whatever's there out so i can get my door card off?

    did you unscrew the torx screw with holds the handle on? not the handle to open the door, but the one you pull when you shut the door if that makes sense?

    oops - forgot to say, yeah mate i did that, but still no joy. something round the door handle just wouldn't budge. was scared to yank it off in case i snapped something!

    have you got manual windows?

    if you do, did you pull the window winder off? just pull it straight off. it feels like you are going to snap something, but you can't.
