vts throttle body lip?

   ive noticed theres a lip at the top is this needed? can it not be removed and improve air flow?

   I think it either get removed / ground down in a port and polish job

   to top lip on the vts throttle body is for the ICV if you look in there it goes though to the ICV, if i am talking about the same lip.

   hmm im unsure its the internals of the throttle body i mean like where the circle is cut short at the top looks like its just blocked for no reason
