Important! : Help pwease!!! *Resolved again*

    I did do a search but nothing came of it . (This is for a 3plug) So basicly tonight ive fitted a vtr inlet and throttle body to my furio. It was easy enough getting the old stuff off and putting the new stuff on but now when i start the car it idles at about 4-5k rpm then it went down to 3.5k rpm but then stayed like that now i thought maybe if i take it for a drive that will settle it but i reversed slightly and went to put the brakes on and nothing happend at all. Now on the vtr inlet i have the hole on the back is blocked up where im guessing the pipe from the servo goes to so will i need to unblock this and connect it up with the pipe from the servo to get the breaks to work?


    So basicly I have 2 problems:

    1. The idle is crazy and wont settle
    2. The brakes now dont work


    Any help will be greatfuly appreciated

    No brake vacume pipe for brake servo is a massive fail dude!

    Look where the brake servo attached on the furio inlet manifold, then see the vtr one the inlet manifold should in theory have a similar location point for it

    whats it blocked with/

    maybe the idle regulator (idle control value) is f**Cked on my, so it rev's it's self, maybe you've left the plug off? just a thoought,

    you can edit your posts btw . thanks ive checked all the sensors ill do what ryan says then unplug my battery for a while and try again

    yes get the hole unblocked and the pipe to the servo re-connected. see how it idles then. if not id be tempted to strip down the body and clean all the sensors.

    Ok will do, i never thought a lil pipe from the brake servo would cause so much problems for the idle but thanks will do

    So basicly i managed to get a another vtr inlet from a scrappies for a fiver because the previous one i had was beyond repairable which i got from a regional leader on 106owners. So basicly i connected up the brake vacum pipe and that sorted the brakes out but now the idle seems to be rather irractic it seems to fluctuate between 1000rpm and 2000rpm when idleing then it bounces between 850 and 1200 then cuts out. Now I did a search and came to the conclusion thats its probably the ICV or TPS lol. Ive seen a few people saying that turning the ignition on and off between 4 and 6 times sets the ICV back to zero?

    Can anyone enlighten me to this?

    Sounds like map sensor. With the engine running unplug it, the car should cut out if map is working - if the car doesn't cut out it's fubar

    Cheers, for the time being i just put the old furio one back on it doesnt rev as freely but theres no problems

    Just disconnected my MAP sensor whilst engine was on and it cut out. So that means it's working ye?

    Just need to check the crank sensor now, otherwise i'm baffled - Changed everything that could be related I just want to cry lol.
