Axle Stands

Is it safe to put my car on axle stands on my sloping driveway (it’s not very steep)? The ground is solid concrete and a flat surface, there’s just a slight incline away from the house.

are you lifting the whole car up? or just either the front or back wheels? if its all four then i wouldnt risk it personally. Depends on how steep your drive is imo

I'm going to be raising it so I can fit a lower strut brace, so I assume the just the front wheels will be ok?

Here’s a quick pic of driveway:

Lift it up, put it in revearse gear, with the engine off,and put some choks or bricks in front of the back wheels and it should be fine mate.

Make sure you tell someone your under it just incase something goes wrong.

As above should be ok just make sure handbrake is on and its in reverse and make sure someone knows your under the car incase something goes wrong

Why put it in reverse if the front wheels are up?

Strut brace only takes 2 mins to fit. Bolts out - strutbrace in place - bolts back in.

I often just use a decent jack, leave it under and have a axel stand in place just incase the jack fails

i would turn the car round so its facing the other way and do what everyone else is saying

I would turn it round so if it does fall it will fall down hill away from you at the front of the car, very unlikely to happen but just in case

If you do turn it round still dont forget the chocks under the back wheels
