#2IMO head work is really not worth it unless its a last addition to other mods. Small gains from a port and polish
-
#3im a week my vts will have Full de-cat system ,manifold, cams, re-map and bmc air box so i suggested them to do some head work wile the engine was in bits and they said its a waste of time and money.
So id say dont bother. -
#4depending on what cams you have then it is worth it, its not worth it without cams or TB's. If you have mild cams then no point, if you have lairy cams then BIG point

#5What high lift/lumpy cam kit would u recomend Ratty?
-
#6I wouldnt for a road car
-
#7why? i THINK a mate of mine put a high lift cam on his vtr..
-
#8maybe higher lift than a standard car, but it true terms a high lift cam will be murder on road come emissions, town driving etc...
-
#9Oh right! So back to my first question, whats recommened cam wise?
-
#10i know this place in edinburgh where i can get the head skimmed for £40, but its all the hassle of stripping the valves, timing, afterwards, its a pain in the erse!
-
#11i got my head done for £500 and noticed a difference in power but not that much
