fuel gauge stuck?

   finally found the first problem with my vts, i topped up the fuel and the needle was fine untill it got just under the half way line now its stuck even when the ignition is off the needle stays put, i filled the car up again today and its still stuck. How can i fix this?? its very annoying

   Tried giving the dashboard a little tap of persuasion to get it unstuck....?

   big old bump i know but my mate has the same problem in his mk2 vts and is bugging me to help him fix it, i can only see one other user that had the same problem but that was no help as he said it just started working randomly one day... never know my mate might get lucky

   Only seems to be the mk2's that are affected by this specific problem due to the slight pump wiring differences i guess.
   This worked for me perfectly for a while until the actual pump gave up.
   
   Just to add, mine was stuck at around a quarter, ignition on or off, and eventually it did the bounce thing.

   WD40 or GT85.. take it off and move it manually, then give it a spray. good luck
