sencors

   my tempture gague is goin to the top and ive been told i is a sencor. of sum tipe i had a look at the engine and the is a sencor underneith the thermasat .and 1 under neith a pipe goin into the rad witch 1 should i replace so the gague dosent do it thanks ian

   The "pins" are the ECU im not 100% on this but you will get the jist pre 2000 is single pin, 2001+ is 3 pin, not 100% on the years but this is the principal, i thought temp sensor was same for all of em tho?

   nope there are 2 differnet sensor, there is a 2 pin one and there also a 3 pin one they use, you need ot look at the one on the car atm, look inside the connector there be 2 or 3 pins inside there.
   
   iirc the 2 pin is pre 2000 and the 3 pin is 2001 on, this also is the case for some other sensor on saxo, like map sensor two differnet types of them.

   well i went into citroen well for a vts there was just two differnet tpyes. well it was for a vts.

   are you sure its the sensor and theres not air trapped in the coolant system this will cause the temp to rise dramatically and be potentially serious to the engine??
