Rad hose

   Ok i have a mk1 westy with a silver top in it, and my bottom radiator hose is not long enough to go threw the hole and past the crank pulley and round to the back?
   
   Do i need the silver top hose?

   Does the radiator only span half the engine bay? Think a 1.1 hose is what you need, although I've seen a few VTRs with smaller radiators.
   
   I recently bought a new lower hose for my silver top VTR and the pipe was too long - needed a few inches chopped off it.

   Its the 1,4 hose that im using and the 1.4 radiator
