Suspension Bushes - Damaged? What atre the Symptoms?

For about a month now, the front left bushes have been squeaking. I've jacked the car up and lubed them up mega loads as they were really dry.

Problem solved for about 3 weeks untill Sunday ish. Its started to squeak. Sounds like your chewing a elastic band.

I think the bushes are gone or worn out. I think the bushes have too much movement in them? I also noticed that the ride sometimes seems to be very leaney and sometimes firm (Depending on outside temperature, at night its a good firm ride)

Would i replace all 4 bushes (2 left hand side wish bones and right hand sides) or would i need to replace the arb bushes etc? What sort of price (Standard ones) and would the ride be firmer?

Hi, had same noise on my old Mk1, "chewing an elastic band" is quite close mate - lol. I replaced the front wishbones and I saw that the rubber bush on the rear mount was seperated from the arm. Also under heavy braking while turning the tyre would catch my front mud flaps thus confirming the worn bushes.

I would start there to be honest mate.

If you replace the front, might as well replace the front ARB and the rear beam ones while your at it...£100 off Kam Racing for full lot worth it imo
