I think this only applied to some saxos as iv had a good look under my car and cant see any way lowering it will cause a problem with the PAS pipes

your looking in the wrong place if your looking under the car
they get hit by the track rod near the brake servo

    simply bend them up

Apparently the pas only rubs if you lower than 40mm.

lift the bonet and look at the top left and side just behind the inlet manifold you will see two bars that move from sided to side when you turn the steering wheel.
it is these that rub. it is only on mk2 saxos but it can rub at 40mm down.
i was 50mm down and i did mine as soon as i got home from the grage after getting it lowerd as it was really worn away then.

you will need a mate to help you with this tho.
peice of wood between the top bar that moved when turning (as it slightly raises before full lock) and the pipe and it will bend the pipe up. you could also use somre closed pliers anything u can wedge in that small space.

As said, it normally all looks fine but will either rub as alex said under the brake servo, or kinda behind the inlet on the left hand side. You have to remove afew bits and pieces to get a good view of the area to check it tbh. As it normally looks fine until closer inspection. But its just a case of bending it up out the way!

Thanks for your help ppl. I had a look under the bonnet and can see were they rub, i might have a play with em later to see how easy they are to bend.
Forgot to ask if any arch work is need when lowering a vtr?
    cheers

I lowered the front of mine 50mm! on the standard shocks feels fine!
I lowered the back 80MM!!! MEAN! Looks gawjus!
But any speed humps can cause real agro! Ive had to tuck my exhaust up to the max as i left my last back box on the road somewhere! Seriously pulled up to my mates and was wondering why my car sounding like a NASCAR! and realised i had no backbox!
Just had to fit new downpipe centre section and back box! its all propped up and tucked tight no issues now! touch wood!
