Passenger door wont open from outside

   Guys can anyone help please.
   
   My passenger door wont open from the outside and after taking off the door card i saw the metal lug was no longer attached to the bar for the outside door handle
   
   So i cable tied them back together but it still doesnt give enough motion to work the lock mechanism
   
   Do i need to get a completely new door lock?? worried my car wont pass its MOT with it like this

   unclip it back in

   i think part of the metal bracket thingy had broken off!
   
   i tried cable tieing but it still doesnt give me enough movement to open the door via the outside handle grrrr!
   
   anyone got any ideas how i can fix this, do i need a new lock mechanism?

   Glue gun, it happened on mine in the icey weather i got annoyed and forced the door open bending the metal clips, just popped in to place and used a glue gun to secure.

   i've tried using a glue gun to solve this but it doesnt help.
   
   tghe problem is that the majority of the metal clip has sheared off. the door mech now works with zip ties there but the movement is just short of releasing the door latch
   
   anyone have any ideas on solving this problem, been at it work weeks now

   Same with me, exact same thing has happened. But on both doors... So in the mornings i need to climb through the boot. Fucking so anoying, took it to a garage and he didnt know what he was talking about so i'll take it to citroen i think get em to do it propperly.

    yeah exactly, not being able to open the door from the outside is annoying the s**h out of me! plus car wont pass MOT like this.
    
    sounds like ur situation is even worse!
