petrol missing

   ij filling my vtr over and over and i just seem to use fuel liek mad im not even raggin it and im using it liek mad were shud a check for leaks cheers

   check the fuel filter mate, mine had a tiny pin hole in it and pissed bp ultimate everywhere

   Lucky you found it in time bud!! my mates vtr went up in smoke with leaky filter.........

    filled it bout half way and just got round 80 miles not wit the foot dwn either mayby once or twice up to speed limitsbut other wise it was kep low revs in 5th

    you could try looking, when u fill the car up, in the arch, by the back wheel, if any petrol is leaking. thats where the filler pipe is,
    
    2. the tank itself.
    
    3. fuel filter.
    
    4. the fuel pump itself. (underneath the rear seat)
    
    5. see if the top, black clip with a white square, on top on the injector rail is clipped in sucurely

    cant you smell fuel leaking? Mine is not too good on mpg either, but checked everything over and l think its just down to age really, mines a 98

    could be the lamba sensor mate could be broken so its tellin ecu the mixture weak and so injectors injecting more fuel ma tutor thinks thats why my mates is drinking fuel. check for leaks and if there dosent seem to be any you can get lamba sensor check thingys that tell you if its working or not there about £8 or take it to a garage and ask if they will check it you.
