help wa gearbox to choose:(

hi basically i have a cammed vts with a minfold decat straight through the works , and my gearbox has blown now i just wondered what is the best gearbox to put on for 0-100 acceleration (1.1,1.4)???? i want it to be as strong as the vts gearbox and not blow straight away and i dnt want it to go slower is it best to put a vts box back on or will a 1.4 box do ?? 0-100 acceleratoin faster ?? if so how much faster and will it be strong and what will it do in each gear please help me on this cheers lei

1.4xsi box imo.

If feel happy about lower top end and high rev's on motorway then a 1.3 rallye box.

1.4 box isnt a sports cluster.

XSI box is.

Dont get anything bar a sports box imo.

Also if it was my money i would have an S2 Rallye gear box.

1360cc mk1 Rallye box.

if you have lots of money for fuel and NEVER go on the motorway.
VTS box really

Is it really that bad for fuel if your just crusing in gear with normal town driving? Got on on the way and these MPG comments are scaring me a tad. Going on a VTS with about 130 raw horsepowerz

i had a 1.4xsi box on my 106 gti was very quick well worth it 3rd is the best gear though jut feels like it would just keep going lol

im going for a 1.4xsi box, over an s2 box i currently run and an s1box i sold lol
