standard backbox.. tail pipe falling off...

   its rattling like made and doing my head in... can i just snap it off or will this have some kinda negative effect?
   
   and i understand i need to get a new backbox but the rust made hole around the tailpipe will do for a few weeks while i save my pennies xD

   Are you sure it is the tail pipe?
   
   It shouldn't be to much of a problem, will there be a bit left?

   the tail pipe right upto where the back"box" bit starts has like managed to get a nice hole around the exit pipe bit and its wobbling around now

   yeah you can just snap/cut it of. But get a new back box sooner rarther than later, you will get some fumes coming into the car when stationary (sp)
