#4not far really, probs about 30mile tops
-
#5So your cars using £15 to get 30 miles?
Something is seriously wrong if so. -
#6yeah i know, my mechanic told me to quick check under hood, if there was any pipes off or summat, said if theres air getting into fuel, car wuld be quicker.... because of increased combustion or summat.... but obviously draining petrol... is there anything i should be looking for?
-
#7Thats bad for a 1.1i imo, does it overfuel? mine was bad for that.
-
#8I dont know how to tell if it over fuels??? Im no good with the mechanical side of cars imo any hints??
-
#9mines ran rich as fuck for a while and it turned out that the plug that went from the lambda sensor to the loom wasnt attached and it was running very rich.. if you open your bonnet and look to the right of the engine under where you air intake is, you should see a green and red plug thing, make sure its plugged in.. you'll notice if its not right

#10Well it pops going down gears?Quote:I dont know how to tell if it over fuels??? Im no good with the mechanical side of cars imo any hints??
Apprently i was told it could be the lambda sensor affecting the fuel or even the cat?
If not id check for leaks or even take it to the garage and explain. £15 for 30 miles jesus.1 user thanked this post: -
#11directly under the engine, on this big plate thing theres loads of fluid, doesnt smell like petrol, just checkd lol, whats the lambda sensor, is tht the little plug yu was talkin about??
-
#12dont matter if it pops when going down gears, and the cat being fucked wouldnt cause it to use that much fuel.. in my experience of this happening, it was the lambda sensor and im sure it will probably be the same with yours, unless you've got a serious leak somewhere underneath.. i used roughly a fiver of fuel by driving about 8 miles or so...
-
#13if you look for a wire coming out from the exhaust.. follow it all the way til you see a green and red thing which is the plug for the lambda sensor, make sure thats actually attached to another half.. if not then plug it in1 user thanked this post:
