Exhaust advice needed.

Hi guy's my Vtr is ready for a new system as the standard one looks like it could drop off the car at any moment including the cat. It's the 90bhp mk 2version where the cats under the car. I know you pay for what you get but money is tight at the mo so is the below sytem any good:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...%3DI%26otn%3D2

Have any of you had any expirence with them, also I don't want it to be to loud for a few reasons.

Lastly are exhaust's easy to DIY as I've always had them fitted before. Is it a case of undoing the downpipe joint and dragging the old one out in one or cutting the old one up whilst it's on the car and removing.

Sorry for direct linking not sure if that's allowed here or not.
    Thanks in advance Rez.

They can add a middle box for an extra £20.00 to the system to reduce the noise but like you say it's going to look a bit gay with that 100mm tail pipe. If anyones got any good feedback on it though I'm still considering it.

Is it just the centre pipe that is mullerd or the back box aswell?

because you could just get a cat back pipe instead which would work out to be half the price

edit: heres one i made earlier,

No mate the cats gone aswell that's why I'm tempted by that system. Them in 10 months time I can buy a cat, fit it for the MOT them take it off again.

Mild steel will begin to rust after about a year or so, but Kurust and similar things sort it out

Give it a spray in VHT paint or even bbq paint, that'll help.

sadly they can rot from the inside out, theres moisture in the exhaust gases, especially when the engine is cold...

you will probably get a year or so life out of that system, unless the mild steel is very thin. If it is stainless then it will be very thin at that price and the issues will tend to be fractures where the welds and brackets are.
I guess it depends on how knackered your current one is. Theres always something better, just depends on your budget and how much time you have..

A 100mm tailpipe seems a bit small, atleast go 200mm and do it properly.
