idle control valve -stepper motor

    hi my car has gone nuts latley the idling is all over the shop it drives ti self somtimes im thinking its the steeper motor can anyone tell me the symptomes off a faulty stepper motor cus i dnt want 2 buy one unless im sure its that , also it stalls coming onto juntions ,roundbouts etc. reli annoying .

    It's a possibility, but there's no guarantee. It could be a countless number of different things.

    My wifes old Saxo 1.1 had stepper motor issues, would sometimes rev at 2000rpm when it should be idling, sometimes it would cut out when you declutched stopping. Basically the stepper motor was screwed. Easy replacement if I recall just 3 bolts and about 15 minutes.
