get 10k, either similar to my spec but with slightly wilder cams or a longmans lump which make 206bhp.

    lol was thinking 250 - PFC has a turbo'd 106 GTi at 250 lol.

i think anything over about 165bhp must be on TB's and like Ryan says max really NA is 210bhp.
    Ryans is 198ish bhp IIRC

Nah easy to get more than 210 really, the issue is then you have a very peaky engine which is utterly shit unless the gearbox is spot on. The PSA rally cars were restrcited at either 220/230.

Not a massive amount more than my current engine really, wilder cams, tweek of the head, making sure the exhaust/manifolds are perfect etc.....

Its just the gearbox which is a massive limiting factor for a road car.

It's the silver Pug1Off turbo in this months FC.

Ryan, you're not far off 200bhp are you? And Bic was 206bhp, wasn't he?

Between 185 and 200 depending on the rollers, theres more in her for sure as the mapping isnt spot on. Could easily see over 200 really if i changed the cams but dont see a point unless the engine is fooked atm lol!

Bics and all the longmans ones are stated to have made 206 on their engine dyno.

i'm hoping to get about 200-220bhp out of my 1.6 engine, revving to around 9000rpm.
Its a bastard child of many peugeot engines though. mi16 block, Gti-6 head, XU7 forged pistons and 205 1.6gti crank
you dont see many top end VTS engines running a forged crank which would allow the engine to rev higher to gain a few more horses though for that you are getting into race only territory. QEP built a 230bhp engine once though I forget the spec.

Ryan I think you will be able to get a couple of bhp extra with a really good mapping session. Let me know when you do as I'll come and stand around enjoying the induction roar
