tinting

   used the search button but can't find any guides to tinting. i got tint film but i tinted the rear quaters but i was getting slight creae lines in the tint and couldn't get them out, plus how do u scrap the black dots off the original window so the film goes down better?

   The dots are even left there when you do it professionaly. Word of advice, dont tint the rear window yourself unless you have special templates / really know what your doing. The boubles from the sides can be pushed out, eg. with a credit card wrapped in a cloth. What substance are you using for the film to stick?

   its the rear quater windows, used palin water as watched a guide online thats all they used. but at places in the window the tint seemed to crease couldn't push it out, the guide says maybe a heat gun?

   Could use a hair dryer mate. Im pretty sure water wont stick it propperly But if you saw a guide on the internet that worked then obviously im wrong. If i was you, i would use a mixture of water and fairly liquid in a spray.

   hey i'm open to suggestions, i tried the hair dryer but it didn't seem to get hot enough so was gonna try the heat gun. what sort of percentage fairy liquid to water u use?

   I'd say about 75 water 25 fairy liquid, spray it on the window after cleaning it (not using a household cleaner like mr sheen), put the film on, cut to size, get all the boubles out, then just be patient with the hair dryer, get it so its dry'ish. Then your done, dont even attempt the rear window yourself though mate. Hope that helps.

   not even gonna think about rear window, seeing as these quaters are kinda a pain already. will give your advice a go over weekend cheers bud

   Yeh the back window is hard if you dont know what your doing!! where the window has a slight bend in it, Fucking nightmare!! Good luck bud

   aye best off leaving it to the pros i was guna do it myself till my mate did it first and wot a mess it was side rear windows wer okish but backwindow was rubbish so im takin mine to pros

    i got tint film and the instructions with is say to remove the backing film and it dont seem like there is any on it?
