Rear Lights...What should i do?!

  1. #1
Hi guys, I'm looking to get some new rear lights on my silver mk1 vtr and need a bit of advice!

I was lookin at putting some mk2 lights on just for a subtle effect but can't decide. I don't want to go down the lexus route for obvious reasons!!

Any ideas? I thought the jewel ones looked ok?!
    Cheers, Matt

I'd go for the jewel ones if i was you (trying to keep it subtle). I mean MK2 lights would be good but well ermm I actually hate them to be perfectlly honest. My lights are next on the list to go! Sick of seeing the bloody things

Yeh i'v seen a few with jewel on silver saxos and thought they looked cool. They have been around for a while tho.

Morettes are pretty good aswell but a tad on the expensive side! definately rare tho!

Morettes are getting more and more common by the day but that is to be expected. The one thing i hate about the Morettes rear lights is that they stick out on the side of the saxo.... If they were flat then i would have definatlly got my self a pair by now.

Morettes are a bit expensive yea hehe.... But if you want the new look then thats the price you have to pay.. But my opinion would be to stay away from the Morette rear lights the front Morettes look sweet as! maybe you should get them instead

    rear morettes are awful.

    smoked jewel lights are good

    just keep standard thats different

Rear morettes are nice imo, but smoked jewel lights look great on silver cars.

Smoked on silver?! didn't really think bout that! has anyone got any pics?

I know what you mean the way they stick out...looks a bit odd from different angles!

So decisions....smoked jewel or silver jewel!!!

Or yeh the standard ones could stay in favour of some front morettes!

I think the clear jewels would look good on a silver saxo, as shown above, i feel that if you get smoked rear then you woiuld have to get smoked front lights & smoke side repeaters for it to look good, but thats just my opinion.

them clear ones will look good on a silver car.

i changed my mk2 lights for mk1s, but then got some cheap morettes so changed them again

No the car is still not colour coded (yet!!)

Yeah was thinking about some sprayed silver ones to match.

Think i'll go with the jewels
