#3plus gti mirrors are electric i got some manual ones of a quicksilver they have caps as far as im aware
-
#4Yea if you have electric mirros already make sure you pick up the gti 1s also you need the 106 baseplates aswel. Best to go to a scrappy or look on ebay i picked mine up pretty cheap and then sprayed the caps.
The wireing harnesses are all the same aswel so its literally unplug and remove and put the new 1s on

#5im planning on getting a set of 106 mirrors soon. If i dont have electric mirrors in my vtr, can i still fit electric 106 gti ones or am i better off sticking to non electric versions?
-
#6you'd still be able to fit them regardless, but they just wont be connected to anything
I got mine off a quicky -
#7If its not for the electric ones, why do people do it. Saxo mirrors look better. watch no one agree
-
#9i think they look better (pmsl at white writing)

#11Depends on the car entriely imo. The 106 ones look freah on most saxos but I prefer the STDs on mine as Ive got a lot of black and silver goin on and the mirrors are the same

#13the 106 mirrors i have on mine, or will have on mine again once there resprayed for the millionth time are gloos black with white mirror caps. I think 106 mirrors only look good if you've got the mirror caps the same colour as the car.
Without mirror caps they just look bulky and ugly, but with them, they look pretty damn good IMO -
#14yeah i was planning on colour coding the mirror caps and satin black base plates etc i think
-
#15thats a good idea. i dont think there is anypoint just doing the mirror caps or just the mirror caps and mirrors and leaving on the base plates. can get a good shine to them as wellQuote:yeah i was planning on colour coding the mirror caps and satin black base plates etc i think
also for reference, these are mine moments after i had a few issues with bad masking tape and the wind
