Transponder

   hey ive just started doing the 16v conversion
   
   ive got an unlocked vts ECU... do i need to unplug the transponder? if so where is it...

   yeahh ive tryed i swear when i search i cant find anything ... will have another go... do you know at all ?

   okay ive looked again and cant find the details i need .... i think im surposed to run my engine and unplug the transponder while my engine is running , is this right ? also where exactly is the transponder, i think its under the dash on the passengers side, but what does it look like... help is really appreciated

   I have just searched for 'immobiliser box' and found the information within 30seconds.
   
   If you've got an unlocked ECU you need to unplug the transponder before you start the engine as you risk locking the ECU. It looks like this:
