i am looking at buying one of these, but i was just wondering if i have to buy one specifically for my car or buy one from another car and get it mapped to my car?

Would be better off just going to somewhere like chipwizards mate, or getting a predator ecu

Are you on about the Unichip?

    oh kl ok thanks

^ How do you know? (saxovtr123456)

Can get one off another car, but then will have to pay your tuner to install the device and map the software - but only Dastek tuners can map them IIRC?

But a new Dastek will need mapping up so works out cheaper to buy 2nd hand....

I know, because the results that the predator ecu came back with was staggering, also wayne at chipwizards remaps are second to none.

lol he didnt ask what is better.

No mate the dastek will run fine but will just need a remap specific to your car.

tbh pal your better off asking a tuner.

Are Dastek even that good? Not many people on here actually go for it.

The Unichip design is from Dastek.

Id be more than happy with either a Dastek or a Haltech running in my car, if the map is shit then thats down to a poor standard of tune.

if you want a proper answer mate you will need a 'B' series dastek for it to work on a saxo.

seem to get alot of people guessing on here imo

there are plenty places which are better than chipwizards, he just has a good hold on the OE ecu remap market as not many people do that for saxos.
