   What filler do I need to get to smooth them off? Looked on eBay and there is loads lol

   Think its P40 - which is the general car body filler. Its sometimes called easysand as well.

   p38 to starts, p40 as said, them thin the filler down to a sort of thick paint to get all the smalls imperfetions, then prime, paint etc

   Can always use some stuff called Dolphin to fill any really small imperfections. Its just a very fine filler.
   
   Also use high build primer if you are painting them. If you are trimming them, the finish doesn't have to be perfect as the fabric will cover any small imperfections

   sorry abit off topic, ive jsut widemouth'd a vt bumper and smoothed the splitter into the bumper with a fiberglass filler, is this the same stuff i need to use as the next layer?

   right lets clear this up for you...
   
   Fiberglass and Filler are two different products. Filler is what you need as you want to rub it down with different grades of paper to get the finish you require...
   
   The lower the number of the paper the corser the grit..
   
   e.g.
   
   p40 is very rough
   
   p180 is good for finishing off a filler repair ready for high build primer..

   for finishing filler use top stop, its sort of yellow, works well

   If your painting them then yes the finish needs t be spot on but if your trimming just get them smooth, i wouldnt worry too much about finish
   
   i just used easysand filler then a bit of filler primer, i trimmed mine so finish didnt need to be perfect
