vts in a westcoast?

    found a vts engine on ebay for about £500,wondering if i was to buy it would i need new engine mounts etc or is it a straight swap??

    all you really need is the engine, ecu and loom, then upper engine mount, throttle cable, and preferable the cooling system.

    I'm trying to get this project started at the moment..

    Yeh.. hopefully.
    I've recently blown up my 1.4 engine.. so i'm going to upgrade to 16v at the same time..

    It'll probably cost you around 600-700 quid.
    You can get the engine for around 400 quid from a scrap yard, or a lot cheaper on ebay or one of the owners club.
    Have a look on saxosportclub and 106owners, there are loads of single plug VTS engines for sale.
    Also on ebay there are a few.

    Other things you might want to get are new clutch and cambelt.. save you money later on.
