anybody on here got or know of someone with a vtr with nos on it.
i want to know what else would need uprating or what extra parts i would need to go with a nos kit for a mk1 vtr.
    got the following mods already
straight thru system, heat wrapped 4-2-1 manifold, piperx induction kit, piper VTRKB285 cam, port+polished head, remapped superchip to account for the cam.

also what nos is best for the car/engine. wet or dry?
    chers folkes!

it depends on the "shot" things should be ok with a 25-50 shot! any more & things will need strenghtening, head gasket, clutch, gearbox (idealy!), brakes, if your lookin at £bing no option then pistons & rings etc etc also!

i think you need to research this a lil more squire! 25 - 50 bhp shot could be wet or dry (i think)

i would advise you not fit it yourself! Nos needs to be set up properly onthe rollers & in tune with your car.....

look up "power engineering", they do it..... they specialize in fords & jap stuff but they really know there stuff & r the balls.... your looking at arounf £1k maybe more for it tho..... how serious are you!?

Well mate of mines running 90 jets of nos on his VTR, thing is with nos, if u havent got the mixture perfected ull get one hell of a jerky launch, hes now running it on 60 jets!

Visit the wizards of nos website and ask around, they'll know what u need as they've had lost to do with my mate!

i no that you can get them wet or dry but i wondered which is best for your engine. after a lil bit of research i have learnt that on smaller engines it is best to get a kit with wet nos to help prevent detonation.
can get a kit for roughly £300 and part fit it using the instruction manual provided but il leave the linking up and setting up to the garage.

you only want to run a wet system, dry is not good for fuel injection.

you need to match the nos with fuel and also use a controller else o you wont get the most out of your purchase, you need to ensure you have a metal head gasket and not the paper types, and run cooler spark plugs.

and the rest! y are you allways so negative about everything?
if i only got 15 bhp from them mods what would be the point in having them!
il get a rolling road done and well see what it is. and cammed vtr is running 133 bhp with more or less the same mods!
