    when putting them in.....

have i got this right basically?

does the washer go between the shell and bush (how ive got it in the picture)

    or under the arm?

  2. #2
Two washers on the front most bushes

single washer on the rear most

flange ground facing on the front most

flange shell facing on the rear most.

    lol flange

The ones furthest to the back of the car go between the shell and arm mate, the two further in near the fuel tank go between the underside of the arms and the bolt end

    cheers boi's.......

im half right, got the fuel tank ones round the wrong way (which were the worst to get in)
  9. #9
Plumbing in a fuel return line and fiddling with the positioning of the filter. Which promptly all blew out today lol. The std plastic lines are lame, its impossible to get em back on the clips neatly. Had a nice little petrol fire on my drive too.

What were you doing down there?

    Cuntish. Polyraces?
  11. #11
    they were.

tried to get me ole man to help, but he was on the phone to some slag fromt internet.

so whacked the in hot water and they werent to bad, loads harder that standard.

also rouned off a brakeline nut when taking rear beam off.

Bad times, Ive got powerflex rears that came with the beam, want to change for the polyraces as theyre harder but not sure if its worth the hassle.

And the rear caliper nuts are cunts, theyre always proper weleded in no matter how recently you touched em.

We need a star meet man. Last time I saw you I was running around in a 4X4 and your beast sounded like a tractor lol
  13. #13
ill let you know what the polyraces are like.

we do lol, that beast is long gone haha, so is that exhaust thank god.

    lol that car was legendary.

Quick question for you actually mate, as your master shaft fitter and all.

S conversion, two S solid shafts, the nearside sticks out from the hub with about 15-20mm extra length once the shaft nuts on. The offside is only just covered by the nut. Both shafts fit into the gearbox and hub fine though, no clearance issues. The offside has an ABS tooth ring on it though is that why?

    yea that sound right.

oh though if i remember rightly my driveshaft one side has a small nut and a big nut and both finish flush.

i did have a set of spare shaft's, but my ole vtr ate them lol

    hahaha

I fitted the beam back on rather shitly and had the random pinging noise going one when going round corners. so dropped it down and went round slowly tighting them back up a half turn on each nut.

they aren't quite frankly. The fit is piss poor. Road noise is nowt to worry about but over all I can't feel any bloody difference anyway!

Hmm thats interesting. Oh well they both cover the shafts, theyre nylock jobbies so should be ok.

What car you got now you sold the MK1 didnt you?
