#2fuel pump cut off switch mate, also known as an inertia switch, cuts off the fuel pump when involved in a crash
-
#3so what would happen if i pressed it?
-
#5actually if you press it, it will turn the fuel pump off, you then have to press it again to reset it

#12Me and Toad were on track in his beast and he went over a large pot hole, it flicked the fuel cut off switch and we had to pull over. We soon realised what it was ...

#13So when your mates bonnet is open you can push it for a laugh
-
#14that is the usual fun and games, push the button steal his mrs and drive off
-
#15So everytime i've fucked about with mine and pressed it and the car starts fine straight after, that mean it's not working? Doesn't work like that, there's a switch inside that is tripped by a big jolt (example if you tap the side of it), that makes it pop up, you press it back down to reset it.
Pressing it if it's not been tripped doesn't do anything. -
#16Same thing happened with me (well not on track). Hit a pothole and my dials went from 62mph and 7250rpm to 0 and 0 lol.

its does to mine mate, turn the key, the pump doesnt prime and it wont start -
#18they are there to make you get out of your car in rough area when you have just hit a pot hole at 12 o'clock at night or you run over a 2p on a busy road-a-bout and have to get out to re set it.
Dont seem to go of when you crash tho lol -
#19Hahaha when we came to the side of the track sitting on the grass in the car. We were going through what might have happened, and all of a sudden the thought of your problem came into my head. Waited for the session to finish, popped the bonnet and bingo ... True story.
