lost all power?

   The car has never been better until the other day and I seem to have lost all power above about 2k rpm ..if I put my foot down it just seems to wheeze the engine runs fine on tick over and doesn't seem lumpy just hasn't got the go any more.. It doesn't seem like the coil pack as I had that problem and changed it last year and I've took the air filter off that made no difference.. I'm just puzzled

   Is there a kink or hole in the exhaust anywhere?
   
   That can sometimes cause a loss in power.

   could be lambda sensor?

   it just seems to be anything more than just above idle it just won't have it..
   
   someone mentioned crank sensor in a previous post? do these go? the car has done 153k
