decating

hi guys. I've got a 1999 mk1 vtr and thinking about decating it but because I only have one lambda sensor before the cat will I need to sleeve it.
Also will this affect my fuel consumption ?
    Thanks

it will affect the mixture of fuel yes and will run on more fuel than usual.
And you will need a sleeve or just make one

Surely tho it shudnt affect the car because the sensor is mesuring the gasses before the cat so surely it shudnt be any different if I leave the sensor in

No need to sleeve a single lambda engine. As it reads the gases before the cat.

Keep the cat in a safe place for MOT time.

    Shouldn't effect the fuel consumption.

any reason you feel it would need one when the sensor is before the cat you are removing?

lambda is infront of the cat which isnt a problem, you wont need to touch it when removing the cat

As said, it's only cars with 2 lamdas that need one sleeving, you sleeve the second one, just so it thinks the cat is still working efficiently. First one controls fuelling, so whether the cat is there or not, this isn't affected.
