Juddering at constant speed

    Hi there,
Im new to this forum but i got a 1999 saxo 1.0 spree a few weeks back and ive noticed some problems with it.
when im driving at a constant speed the car starts to judder and if i take any pressure off the accelorater it gets even worse and starts to bunny hop. if i stay with it for a minute it goes away but will come back again soon after. it feels like something isnt getting through somewhere but im not sure exactly what. ive read other posts with similar problems. i've changed the spark plugs and leads, changed the oil, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter and hasnt made a difference. i was wondering if anyone could tell me where the different sensors are on the car as ive noticed they keep coming up in other threads. could someone also tell me where the fuel injectors are so that i can give them a clean and if my model has an idle control valve.
Any help would be really appreciated

    Hi,

It could be electrical, fuel or clutch related. Does it judder if you push the clutch in?

Check for air leaks on the inlet side, sound like you are running a lean mixture. If you have single point injection check the unit is securely bolted to the inlet manifold for example. You can spray wd40 over joints and it should be evident if the wd40 is sucked into the joint then it is leaking.

As above could be electrical problem, but if it was I would expect missfires on tickover/load as well.

well so foar all sensors have been sprayed with wd40, the single injector has been cleaned and refited, been using red x for about the last 2 weeks and as above all new sparkplugs and leads with filiter change. would it have anything to do with the fuel pump, lambda sensor or idle control vale as these are yet to be checked or changed? if it was an electrical problkem would the engine management light not come on on the dash?

Hi. I am new here, I have the same issue with my car which is a saxo spree 1.0. i have used your forum search and found this page, so I am bumping it rather than creating a new post. I had the front arm replaced to pass an mot a few months back, and the juddering stopped, but unfortunately has started happening again. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    its a flywheel

would the fly wheel cause it to drop revs though. It feels as if all of a sudden the reves drop right down, loose power and then pucks back up again causing the car to judder and bunny hop .

Sounds like coil pack to me
